Initial psoriasis. Vinegar as a simple and effective medicine

Skin diseases may not be deadly, but the fact that psoriasis, in any of its forms, completely changes a person’s life, creates certain problems in communicating with others, deprives forever of some small joys is a fact. Outwardly, the manifestations of the disease psoriasis are very unpleasant. The formation and development of psoriatic plaques is accompanied by severe itching, burning, in severe form – pain.

In some cases, psoriasis is so painful that it puts a person into a state of constant neuroses and depression. The treatment of the disease must be approached responsibly, in no case should you take rash measures, be sure to listen to the doctor’s recommendations. As for traditional methods of treatment, they should not be perceived as the main treatment, but only as a way to eliminate cosmetic skin defects, reduce the symptoms of the disease, and make your life as easy as possible.

Experience shows that folk recipes are indeed effective in combating the manifestations of psoriasis. However, I would like to remind once again that no matter what remedy is used to treat a complex disease of psoriasis – vinegar , salt, medicinal herbs, essential oils or other natural products – prior consultation with the attending physician is required.

Let’s talk about apple cider vinegar and how this unconventional “medicine” is used in the fight against psoriasis.

Vinegar baths

Preparing and carrying out preventive procedures at home is not difficult and does not take much time. All you need to do is fill the bathtub with warm, even slightly cool water (36-38 ° C) and add apple cider vinegar, a half-liter bottle to it. Stir the water well and take a bath for 5-15 minutes, in the morning or in the evening. According to the reviews of people who have tried this method of dealing with psoriasis on themselves, the action of “vinegar bathing” is enough for the next few hours to relieve itching and irritation on the skin.

As you can see, there are no particular difficulties in such procedures. The only rule that must be strictly adhered to is not to dry your body with a towel. Instead, you need to linger in the bathroom for a while and let the skin dry.

If we are talking about eliminating the symptoms of psoriasis, vinegar , as the only means of salvation, of course, is not used. After the bath, you need to lubricate the affected areas of the skin with a special ointment – either purchased at a pharmacy on the prescription of the attending physician, or prepared independently from natural products. It is very simple to make a medicinal homemade ointment: butter (500 g), birch tar (2 tbsp), sulfur (2 tsp) and apple cider vinegar (1 tsp) are mixed in a glass or ceramic container with a lid … You need to store the ointment in a cool place, in a closed container. Use to lubricate foci of psoriasis skin lesions after vinegar baths, or as an independent remedy.

Rubdown with vinegar

Baths in the treatment of psoriasis, in which vinegar is used in small proportions, are not always necessary or not always possible to take them. But you can replace these procedures with another, no less effective and convenient way – vinegar rubdowns.

In this case, a solution of apple cider vinegar is prepared in a 1: 1 ratio, that is, 0.5 liters of boiled water goes to a half-liter bottle of vinegar. Moistening a towel in the resulting solution, you need to wipe off the diseased areas of the skin, and this should not be done intensively, but very carefully, trying not to peel off the crusts on the surface of psoriatic plaques.

At night, compresses can be made from a water-vinegar solution. It is necessary to soak a gauze napkin with the agent, apply it on the sore skin area and secure the compress on top with an elastic (or ordinary) bandage, and on top with a thick cloth bandage.

And do not forget that vinegar in psoriasis treatment should be used in combination with other home remedies. In addition, the main drug therapy, especially during periods of exacerbation of the disease, has not been canceled! Psoriasis is an insidious disease, and you need to fight it “on all fronts”!
